I've used brandy soaked fruits and chopped nuts in it too and made mini Christmas cakes :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00656729287880794152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546916383939063351.post-20188995554141974182019-06-02T15:08:40.603-07:002019-06-02T15:08:40.603-07:00Hello, how long will this cake keep for. Thanks Hello, how long will this cake keep for. Thanks Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934042887438396468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546916383939063351.post-48916720421870743292019-04-06T03:33:28.773-07:002019-04-06T03:33:28.773-07:00thank you so much! I used up some brown sugar instead of white, and some ready brandy-soaked fruit which had been on offer in Waitrose just after Christmas. I'm seriously considering using this recipe as a starting point for next year's Christmas cake. <br />My boiled fruit recipe is an economy version with 1 egg and 6 oz fruit - more everyday style.KirstenMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04460530603998948689noreply@blogger.com
